After a year of hard work, the Sounds of the Season gala finally arrived, and it was well worth the wait! Guests were astonished by the beauty of the venue as they entered a virtual winter wonderland right in the heart of Dallas. Classical ballet performances from The Nutcracker kicked off the evening, as guests enjoyed the delicious food that was served by Wolfgang Puck Catering. Significant Events personalized the event by naming each table after a DHF patient rather than just assigning standard table numbers. At each guest’s seat was a beautiful black and white portrait of their table’s namesake with their testimonial on the back of the photo. After moving videos and speeches from DHF recipients, there wasn’t a dry eye left in the house, and the presenters received numerous standing ovations! Guests showed their support for the foundation by shopping the silent auction and making individual donations. As they left for the evening, guests received music CD’s in their cars which contained a thank you from the DHF president and played classic sounds of the holiday season. In the end we raised thousands of dollars for a worthy cause and put the Dallas Hearing Foundation “on the map” in the philanthropic world for years to come. We rolled out the red carpet for this Hollywood themed Awards Banquet! Guests entered the Dallas Studio Movie Grill while being interviewed on the red carpet and photographed by the paparazzi as guests in the lobby enjoyed cocktails and popcorn and watched it all on the live feed flat screen television! Silent auction items were available for bidding with all proceeds benefiting ISES’s Scholarship Fund. Our own Hollywood Walk of Fame was created for guests to follow along, with each star dedicated to a previous ISES award winner. The completely transformed theater no longer looked like a movie theater but rather a glamorous Hollywood awards event space. Each guest received a “swag bag” at their luxuriously decorated table where a movie themed dinner was served! After the awards were handed out, we were treated to a performance by none other than Dallas’s own “Tina Turner.” The after party occurred in the back of the theater which had been transformed into a chic lounge as the DJ kept the music coming. A fabulous time was had by all! Special thanks to LiveWire Special Events, Fauxcades, Orange Spot Pink Nose, A.D. Parties & Events, AVSD Productions, Eclipse Entertainment, and VIM Studio for making this event a huge success!
