Paulina & Ash’s magnificent two-day celebration was a site to behold! With Ash being Indian and Paulina being Mexican, we wanted to create a weekend fusing their two cultures, and the results were so memorable. Guests were first introduced to this exciting weekend with the custom invitation suite by Significantly Said: Invitations by Significant Events including a photo of the fun engagement photo shoot of the couple. The first night was our Sangeet, held in a modern and chic Dallas event space. The room was adorned with fuchsia and purple florals, midnight blue linens, and palm tree accents – a nod to Ash’s native Mangalore. A huge floral elephant provided an awesome entry element for guest photos! The central backdrop of the room was also a beautiful backdrop of jewel tones and fun floral and Indian elements. Guests enjoyed Indian Street Food stations as well as local gourmet ice cream for dessert. Guests enjoyed visiting the henna and 360 photo station as the evening began. We also had several live performances including dancers in native Mangalore costumes, cirque performers, and Indian dance troupes. After that, guests had a blast on the dance floor with the DJ with accompaniment by a dhol player and tabla player. For those who didn’t want to dance, we had a cigar and hookah bar on the patio.
The next day opened with a traditional Hindu wedding on the outdoor terrace of a hotel with views of the Dallas skyline. The Mandap was stunning, a round shape full of floral and greenery that framed the couple perfectly. Live musicians played traditional Indian music as guests enjoyed Indian sweets, chai, and Mexican pasteles as they watched the ceremony. Following the ceremony was a traditional Hindu buffet lunch. Paulina and Ash then changed into their lovely and traditional American/Western attire for the evening Christian ceremony. Paulina carried a cascading bouquet of ivory, blue, and green blooms. The entrance to the ceremony aisle also featured a beautiful array of these flowers paired with ivory chiffon draping, and a circular floral arch at the altar completed the look. The reception also featured this same elegant color palette with lush florals on each table and a custom blue and white dance floor. A traditional Ballet Folklorico group performed during dinner as did a Mexican Mariachi band. After a delicious buffet dinner, guests enjoyed the wedding cake complete with gold accents and Mexican wedding flag details. The dance floor was packed all night until the couple’s send-off. What a great weekend!
