Kayla and Brad were college sweethearts who met during their time at Southern Methodist University, so it was very special to be able to marry at the university’s historic and beautiful Perkins Chapel. We included a custom watercolor of Perkins in our custom invitation suite via Significantly Said: Invitations by Significant Events. On the wedding day, our bridal party had fun starting the day getting ready at Kayla’s parents’ beautiful home. Bridesmaids wore Kayla’s favorite color of soft blue and carried lush green and white bouquets. The ceremony featured a cello duo and a family friend as the officiant. Following the ceremony, guests headed to an adorable, wine-inspired boutique hotel. Cocktail hour was held on an upstairs terrace with a live guitarist entertaining our guests while they enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. A live painter painting a scene from the wedding was also a fun thing for guests to witness. The ballroom featured crystal chandeliers and beautiful green and white florals on every table. Our head table had a long floral runner that looked wonderful in front of a boxwood hedge wall also covered with flowers. Guests enjoyed a plated meal and cake for dessert. The dance floor was packed from start to finish! With both Kayla and Brad hailing from the Midwest, we did a fun late night snack of brats and hot dogs with a food truck waiting for guests after our sparkler send-off!
