Alexa hails from Houston, and Conner hails from Knoxville, but they met and fell in love while working on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. They wanted to give guests a taste of the city they love for the wedding weekend as well! We first let the guests know about this fun destination weekend with their Save the Dates and custom watercolor invitations from Significantly Said: Invitations by Significant Events. The ceremony was held in a beautiful cathedral on Capitol Hill. Bridesmaids wore blush and rose gold and carried classic and lovely blush and ivory blooms. Alexa’s classic and elegant gown and bouquet looked so perfect as well. Following the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed riding around D.C. in an old town trolley and taking photographs in front of historic monuments. The reception was held in the grand ballroom at a historic D.C. hotel. Tables were adorned with blush and ivory florals, candelabras, and loads of candles. Soft uplighting accented the walls. Delicious dinner stations provided guests with dinner followed by mini desserts and a wedding cake with the Washington D.C. skyline as part of the design! Our party band was such a hit as guests had a blast on the dance floor including fun moments with the Texas A&M Aggie War Hymn and the University of Tennessee’s Rocky Top Tennessee. We sent this sweet couple off at the end of the night through Texas, Tennessee, and USA flags as they walked towards the Capitol where they met.
