Washington D.C.
Alexa hails from Houston, and Conner hails from Knoxville, but they met and fell in love while working on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. They wanted to give guests a taste of the city they love for the wedding weekend as well! We first let the guests know about this fun destination weekend with their Save the Dates and custom watercolor invitations from Significantly Said: Invitations by Significant Events. The ceremony was held in a beautiful cathedral on Capitol Hill. Bridesmaids wore blush and rose gold and carried classic and lovely blush and ivory blooms. Alexa’s classic and elegant gown and bouquet looked so perfect as well. Following the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed riding around D.C. in an old town trolley and taking photographs in front of historic monuments. The reception was held in the grand ballroom at a historic D.C. hotel. Tables were adorned with blush and ivory florals, candelabras, and loads of candles. Soft uplighting accented the walls. Delicious dinner stations provided guests with dinner followed by mini desserts and a wedding cake with the Washington D.C. skyline as part of the design! Our party band was such a hit as guests had a blast on the dance floor including fun moments with the Texas A&M Aggie War Hymn and the University of Tennessee’s Rocky Top Tennessee. We sent this sweet couple off at the end of the night through Texas, Tennessee, and USA flags as they walked towards the Capitol where they met.

"With my makeup artists, I was given a schedule for the services, and that schedule was strictly adhered to on the part of the artists. I was incredibly pleased … For the hair, the commitment to quality was bar none. Cannot say enough how happy I was with how everyone looked…… The hotel staff was amazing. They were incredibly responsive throughout the entire process and made our day so so special. I can't say enough good things about them. Also, the food at the Willard was incredible. That's been the consistent feedback I've received from everyone post-wedding…..The photos were INCREDIBLE. I was so glad I chose the photographer I did. I must say the best thing he did the entire day was passing the photo around on the trolley after the super hot outdoor photo session. By seeing that one amazing picture of Conner and me in front of the three monuments, everyone on the trolley suddenly knew why we'd gone through the whole exercise. Also, I loved the second shooter; she was a doll!.... I The band was incredible. I was so pleased with our service. My dad, especially, was SO happy with the band. That meant the world to me, so thank you. Thank you for the most incredible wedding! We've received so many compliments on the band!.... …..The flowers were gorgeous, and felt like my florist truly captured my style….. I loved the end result of all of my invitation suite with Significantly Said. I was very pleased with the results….Meredith, the wedding was the best time I’ve had in my life. Everyone from my parents to Conner’s parents to individual groomsmen have been singing your praises. I, for one, couldn’t be more grateful for everything you did to make this weekend exactly what it was. Conner remarked earlier how weird it will be to not have you as part of our everyday lives. But you’re most definitely part of our lives. We entrusted you with the most important day and you gave us 10x more than we could have ever hoped for. Thank you and God Bless you! I hope we stay in touch! We sure plan to!!"
