Katie and Kirk met while students at Southern Methodist University, and this campus became the focal point for their wedding as well. Their ceremony was held at the university’s chapel and had a traditional charm. Bridesmaids wore icy pink and carried delicate baby’s breath bouquets. Katie donned a classic gown with fun bow details and carried a stunning ivory and blush bouquet. The chapel ceremony was officiated by Kirk’s dad which made it even more special. The reception was held at a nearby private club with wall-to-wall windows and the best views of the downtown Dallas skyline. Tables had a modern design of elegant white calla lilies and white tulips paired with white linens, gold chargers, and gold chairs. A custom dance floor with Katie & Kirk’s monogram created a great central focal point in the room. The same monogram was found embossed on Katie’s cake in such a lovely way and, of course, Kirk’s cake was a nod to SMU! Guests had a blast on the dance floor with the party band until the streamer send-off into a classic car.
