For the 9th year, Significant Events has been proud to produce the Dallas Hearing Foundation’s Annual Fundraiser! This year we continued with our interactive, fun, and creative event design and set-up. This year’s theme focused on the range of emotions that our recipients feel once receiving the gift of hearing from DHF: Joy, Love, Empowerment, Success, Determination, Resolve, and Faith.
All guest tables were designed around one of these emotions! Guests loved seeing all of the amazing tablescapes. Guests enjoyed a gourmet plated dinner and desserts. Guests began the evening perusing the Silent Auction and enjoying the photo station. A brief presentation from DHF’s leadership as well as stories from children who live with profound hearing loss and whom DHF helps on a daily basis gave a moving presentation. Throughout the night, guests were also able to try their hands at Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, and Texas Hold ‘Em, with all proceeds benefitting our great cause. A live auction and dancing capped off the evening. We love working with the Dallas Hearing Foundation year after year!
Our gala celebrated its 5th year in 2013, and it has been our honor to produce it each year! During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed flavorful passed hors d’ourves and cocktails and got the chance to bid on over 100 Silent Auction items via our electronic bidding system. As the main program began, guests entered the ballroom which had a fresh design this year with a rustic Christmas look – gold linens and chargers, centerpieces of red and white floral paired with green foliage and pinecones. Each table was named after a Dallas Hearing Foundation recipient and contained a picture of the corresponding recipient and his/her story of living with hearing loss. Guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal complete with a festive dessert. Our emcee for the evening, NBC–DFW’s own Lindsey Wilcox kicked off the evening’s entertainment which included a fun and festive Christmas dance performance from a Dallas based senior tap company. The heart of the evening was the presentation from several children and parents living with hearing loss who showed us how their lives had been substantially improved through the work of the Dallas Hearing Foundation. As dinner concluded, guests enjoyed a live auction, dancing, a wine pull, and photo favors from our photo station. In the end, this great organization raised $48,000 for their valuable work!
